In December, 2010 the company has involved 200 million dollars from a pool of investors led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, proceeding from an estimation in 3,7 billion dollars. By results of auction of securities of the company in the secondary market in March, the estimation of capitalization Twitter made 7,7 billion dollars.

At the moment Twitter works over income increase, first of all at the expense of advertising. With it it is connected, as considers The Wall Street Journal, unwillingness of the company to place the actions on a stock exchange.

Advertising in Twitter has appeared in April, 2010. The income of service of advertising this year will make approximately 150 million dollars, the research company eMarketer predicts.
